There's nothing better than a little bit of fisticuffs thrown in to make any sport a little bit more exciting, unless it's UFC or boxing in which case we demand a little bit more. And there's something extra wonderful about it being at a baseball match.
When a fight breaks out in ice hockey it's understandable because by the nature of contact sport things often boil over. Baseball is a pretty serene sport; pitcher pitches, batter bats, fielder catches. But when the pitcher does pitch one up near the batter's face things can get a little testy.
In a Triple A match between the Memphis Redbirds and New Orleans Zephyrs, Jose Urena fired a pitch high at Jeremy Hazelbaker and the former Red Sox player wasn't all too happy, sparking a 30 man brawl as both sides' benches emptied:
