Both benches were cleared out as the Oakland A's and Houston Astros when toe-to-toe (literally) in their Major League Baseball (MLB) clash.
The game was marred by an ugly all-in brawl which spread like wildfire on social media with NBCS' original tweet of the incident getting almost one million views.
Tensions reached boiling point during the hotly-contested fixture when Oakland's Ramon Laureano was struck by a wayward pitch for the third time in the three-game series.

Laureano clearly wasn't happy with the move by Astros pitcher Humberto Castellanos and the two began exchanging pleasantries.
That's when Houston's hitting coach Alex Cintron stepped in.
Cintron was seen shouting at Laureano from the dugout following the incident - a move that didn't sit well with Oakland's Dominican outfielder.

Laureano then threw down his helmet and launched himself into Houston's bench in an attempt to get at Cintron.
But before Laureano could even lay hands on his rival he was stopped in his tracks by Astros catcher Dustin Garneau who close lined the fuming A's star.
The scuffle saw both benches cleared as both sets of players tried to defuse the situation.

Laureano was eventually carted away from the scene after being pulled from the bottom of the pile-up.
While Laureano's frsutrations were clear for all to see, the game commentator perhaps summed up his aggressive move best.
"Look out folks, this is not a good idea. This is not a good idea," he said.
