Max Verstappen is currently taking part in the Nurburgring 24 Hours Race with the break in the current Formula 1 season.
The next F1 race is set to be the Miami Grand Prix due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian races because of the current war being waged between the USA, Israel and Iran.
Several drivers have opted to turn their hand to other prestigious races in motorsport due to this break, including Verstappen and Lance Stroll, who took part at Paul Ricard in the GT World Challenge Europe.
The Dutch driver has opted to drive for the Mercedes-AMG Team Verstappen Racing at the Nurburgring 24 Hours Race this weekend.

Verstappen will be aiming for a successful weekend at the historic German track due to the competitor that he is, as seen with his four F1 World Championships.

However, he will be disappointed that his team are under investigation for causing a crash in qualifiers.
Verstappen’s teammate, Lucas Auer, made contact with another Dutch competitor, which is being investigated by the stewards.
As the Dutch driver took over from his Austrian teammate in qualifying, Verstappen heard that his team was facing an investigation for causing a crash from race control, as reported by GP Fans.
Auer collided with the No. 941 Porsche Cayman from Adrenalin Motorsport, driven by a trio including Adrian Rziczny, Mark van der Snel, and Max van der Snel at the Hohe Acht section of the track.
Verstappen will wait and see what comes from the investigation ahead of Race 1 of the 24h Qualifiers, a four-hour event scheduled for Saturday, April 18, as at the midway point of qualifying the Dutch driver’s team are currently sat in fifth with Auer posting a lap time of 8:13.012.
As it stands this is a great performance for Verstappen, and he will be pleased to be so high up on the grid, as he has not felt this feeling so far while in his Red Bull car in this year’s F1 campaign, with his highest finish being sixth in the opening Grand Prix in Melbourne.
