Justin Bieber was seen 'fighting' with a former NHL star during a charity ice hockey match.

On Sunday, Bieber joined a host of different celebrities and ex-hockey stars as the charity match took place in Los Angeles.

The match, named 'Skate for LA Strong' is aimed at benefitting victims of the recent wildfires.

Speaking prior to the event, Bieber said: "We're looking to have a good time and show when we come together, good things happen."

During the match, the singer was in high spirits as he was seen joking around with hockey legend Mark Messier before getting into a half-hearted fight with ex-NHL star Jeremy Roenick.

The pair had a hold of each other as Bieber was seen trying to throw punches before being separated.

Bieber skated away with a smile on his face as rapper Snoop Dogg said on commentary: "Somebody help JB!" You can watch the footage below.

Speaking afterwards, Roenick, who scored twice during the game, said: "This was an amazing celebration of hockey and first responders. It was a lot of fun, seeing everyone that showed up and some of the LA firefighters playing was a good feeling."

Bieber and Roenick were not the only ones to have some sort of altercation as actor Ben Hollingsworth was seen squaring up to PK Subban during the match.

The likes of Will Ferrell, Danny DeVito and Al Michaels were all involved in the event.

The exhibition was planned by Hall of Famer and Kings President Luc Robitaille.

He said: "We've all been touched by what happened last month. We all have friends, families or different [people] that have been impacted, so for us to be able to make a difference and to do something, we're gonna raise as much as possible and make a difference."

Actor Skylar Astin added: "When the Kings asked me to do this, I was like, ''Absolutely.'' I don't care if I'd never thrown on a pair of skates before, this is where I want to be.

"I'm a resident of Malibu, so I really have the firefighters to thank for even containing it as much as they were able to. I even took PCH [Pacific Coast Highway] over here for the first time, and it was the first time I actually saw all the destruction first-hand and it was really chilling."
