Michael Cole Reveals What It's Like To Receive An F5 From Brock Lesnar

The WWE commentator felt the wrath of Lesnar a couple of years back.

Brock Lesnar avenged his loss to Goldberg at Survivor Series back in November by claiming the WWE Universal Championship in dominant fashion at Wrestlemania 33 in Orlando.

It had been a tough few months for Lesnar, who had met his match in Goldberg and could not get the better of the former WCW icon. Not only was he squashed in 1:26 seconds in November, he suffered further humiliation when Goldberg eliminated him in January's Royal Rumble.

However, it was a different story at the Citrus Bowl last night. Goldberg did hit Lesnar with three vicious spears and a Jackhammer - the same move that put Lesnar away many months ago but the former UFC champ was resilient.

And after avoiding a fourth spear following some freakish athleticism to jump over the onrushing Goldberg, Lesnar hit his opponent with six german suplexes, taking his total match tally to nine, before delivering his trusty F5 finisher. The match lasted less than five minutes and saw Lesnar give Goldberg the first clean defeat of his career and claim the Universal Championship for the first time in the process.

The F5 delivered by Lesnar to Goldberg was devastating and highlighted just how much of a monstrous being he is.

WWE commentator Michael Cole was calling the match and he has felt the wrath of Lesnar before. The Beast had been robbed of his WWE World Heavyweight Championship when Seth Rollins cashed in at Wrestlemania 32 and the following night Lesnar went on a rampage and Cole was one of his unfortunate victims.

In January, the voice of WWE recalled what it was like to be destroyed by Lesnar.

Speaking to SPORTbible, he said:

"He's the most intimidating person I've ever been around in the business, Brock is a good guy, he's a nice guy but the night that he F5'd me after Wrestlemania a couple of years ago, when he grabbed me he hit me so hard in the jaw just initially when he would just grab me lapel and then he threw me in the ring, and the quickness that he picked me up, spun me around and dropped me on my face, you can't even describe the quickness and the power - it's frightening. That was the only instance I had ever actually been in the ring with him, I've called all of his stuff but oh my God, the quickness and the power.

"The F5 is a tornado, you know, and it sounds trite but it was like a tornado because of the quickness and the power. The next thing I knew, I was outside the ring, it happened so fast - it was just amazing to me, how an individual could do that. Usually, especially for a guy like me, we'll rehearse some stuff during the day because I'm not used to that and I said 'Brock, do you need me to do anything?' - 'no, don't worry about it'. 'You do know I weigh 205 pounds, right?' 'Doesn't matter' - that's how the conversation went. But you talk to the guys and they love being in the ring with him."

There's another great tale about Lesnar being utterly terrifying and it comes from 'The World's Largest Athlete' The Big Show, of all people.

When SPORTbible sat down with the seven foot monster back in September, he told us about the time he saw Lesnar scary 300 people shitless at an airport in Australia.

He said:

"Have you ever seen anyone make an entire crowd flinch? He'd just come off a gate in Australia and he's got his sunglasses on and right away they're running towards the gate, where there's this little rope.

"There's around 300 people there. All the flashes go off on the cameras and Brock just takes his sunglasses off and gives that stare that says he wants to peel your skin off and eat your liver. Then he does the shoulder movement where he flinches back and I saw 300 people gasp and take a step back!

"They were terrified! I started laughing, I almost pissed myself. Then Brock turns round and says 'what are you laughing at?' and I told him 'You just made 300 people flinch! I don't think I've ever seen that happen! You're 30 feet away and you've made them flinch just by flexing your shoulders towards them. That's insane!'"

Don't mess with Brock Lesnar.
