Andrew Tate has given an update to his supporters regarding his experiences in a Romanian prison.

The controversial social media star and former kickboxer has been held in the country since his arrest on suspicion of human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime group to exploit women.

Tate and his brother, Tristan, were arrested in a large-scale raid at their home in the country on December 29.

They appeared in court earlier this month to appeal their detention. Bucharest’s Court of Appeal ended up denying their request.

The 36-year-old has released his first email newsletter, with police authorities reportedly allowing him to take communicate with the outside world.

Tate went into detail discussing his living conditions, lamenting the lack of natural light in his cell and a cockroach infestation.

He sent the email from '[email protected]' along with the subject line of 'My first email from Imprisonment' according to YouTube channel Fesify.

The self-proclaimed 'Top G' said: "I will send you my daily lessons from unjust imprisonment. They are trying to break me.

"Thrown inside a cell without light. Cockroaches, lice, and bed bugs are my only friends at night. When the guards bring me to and from the courtroom, I stay absolutely respectful.

"They try to pour hatred into my heart. But Please and Thank You stick with me at all times. My prison guards are just performing their job, they have families to feed. In times of hardship, do not forget your manners."

He would later claim that his prison guards know he is 'innocent'. Tate has denied all charges against him via his lawyer.

"In times of hardship, don’t forget your manners," he concluded. "They are trying to break my Iron Mind with unjust imprisonment.

"My absolute respect for everyone around me is my act of absolute rebellion. They cannot break me. My guards know I am innocent.

"They know it is unjust. They see I will never break and respect my resolve. Please and Thank You stick with me at all times. Such is the way of the Wudan."

Tate later revealed the email address fans can contact him on in a tweet. He said: "They finally allowed me to receive mail.

You can send me your letters [email protected]"
