British triathlete Alex Yee impressed at the Olympic Games, but his latest win has caused controversy.
Yee claimed gold in the men's triathlon event at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games this summer, finishing ahead of long term rival Hayden Wilde.
Wilde led the Brit for the majority of the final part of the triathlon, the 10km run, but in the closing moments, Yee closed the distance and finished and cruised past his rival to finish six seconds clear and take home the gold medal.

And just three weeks later, Yee has beaten the Kiwi again, but this time his behaviour after the victory has caused some controversy.
The pair were competing at the first supertri event in Boston, USA and once again Wilde was leading Yee in the closing minutes of the run, only to be passed by the Brit with just seconds to go.
Like in the Olympics, 26-year-old Yee looked over his shoulder as he passed his rival to confirm that he was far enough ahead to secure the victory at the event.

But this time, he started celebrating before crossing the line, crossing his arms and keeping a completely blank face before claiming first place.
The celebration continued as he crossed the line and ran up to the camera nodding his head while keeping his arms crossed.
While doing so, Wilde can be seen to be visibly angered by Yee's actions in the background, likely seeing it as a sign of disrespect from the Brit.

The reaction from both men was completely different at the Olympics, as Yee appeared humble in his win, even paying tribute to his rival in interviews after.
Meanwhile Wilde, who had just missed out on an Olympic gold medal by seconds, immediately sat beside Yee after crossing the finish line and put his arm around the gold medallist to congratulate him.
But Wilde, having failed to do so in Boston, will have several more opportunities to avenge his loss in Paris as four other supertri events will take place across the world this year, with the finale taking place in the desert of Neom, Saudi Arabia in November.
