NFL star goes viral online for ridiculous leap before getting 'randomly' selected for drug test

NFL star DK Metcalf has had quite an impressive weekend.

It kicked off with an impressive performance for Dwayne Wade’s team in the Celebrity All-Star Game.

The American Football wide receiver turned into a basketball star helping Wade’s team defeat Ryan Smith’s all-stars with an 81-78 win.

The Seahawks player scored 20 points, made 10 rebounds and four blocks in the game leading him to earn the MVP award for the game.

He showed off his serious athletic ability throughout the game, turning the All-star game into his showcase.

Two of his 20 points came from a notable coast-to-coast dunk that went viral online.

And while that was impressive in itself, his weekend activities weren’t finished there.

A couple of days later a video of Metcalf making a vertical leap and collecting an NFL ball with a one-handed catch, also went viral.

This guy was clearly having a field day.

While the video was heavily edited across some social media posts, the initial video is still massively impressive.

He gets some huge hang time as he collects the ball, further proving that he was born with wings.

Some even joked that a drug test was coming Metcalf’s way - and lo and behold that’s exactly what happened.

The player shared a text he received from the league on his Instagram story that let him know that he was selected for a drug test.

Definitely doesn’t seem very random.

And some NFL punters weren’t too pleased that the league’s timing.

NFL analyst Warren Sharp tweeted: “Really & truly the NFL is the worst.

“DK Metcalf posts a fun video & plays basketball & the NFL assumes he must be on something illegal.”

Another fan wrote: “The internet got DK Metcalf drug tested.”
