Donald Trump Jr has branded Bad Bunny 'woke' ahead of his Super Bowl halftime show after he called out the US government at the Grammys.
Bad Bunny will headline the halftime show of the 60th Super Bowl between New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
The Patriots have won a record six Super Bowls but haven't made the final since 2019 when legendary quarterback Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick departed the team.
Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, spoke on his pride of representing latino artists following his Super Bowl announcement.
“What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown. This is for my people, my culture, and our history," he said.
“Go tell your grandma we’re going to be the Super Bowl halftime show.”

The 31-year-old's decision comes due to the mass deportation of Latin Americans since Trump took office.
“There were many reasons why I didn’t show up in the U.S., and none of them were out of hate—I’ve performed there many times. All of [the shows] have been successful,” he explained when speaking to ID magazine.
Due to his opposition to Trump, conservative political group Turning Point USA, have organised alternative 'all American' halftime show for Sunday's Super Bowl including Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett.
Quoting a post promoting the alternative show, Trump Jr took a dig at Bad Bunny writing on X: "I'll take this over Woke Bunny any day of week."
Bad Bunny calls out ICE at 2026 Grammys
This comes just days after Bad Bunny called out the Trump administration publicly at the Grammys, after he became the first Latin artist to win album of the year.
As he got up to accept the award for 'DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS', the rapper immediately spoke out against ICE, calling for love and not hate in the US.
"Before I say thanks to God, I'm going to say, ICE out," the Puerto Rican singer said as he accept his award to a standing ovation from his peers in the crowd.
"We're not savage, we're not animals, we're not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans," Bad Bunny continued.
"I know it's tough to not hate these days. And I was thinking, sometimes we get contaminated. The hate gets more powerful with more hate.
"The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love. So please, we need to be different. If we fight, we have to do it with love. We don't hate them; we love our people. We love our family, and that's the way to do it — with love. Don't forget that, please."
