John Cena Has Got A New Haircut And People Think He Looks Ridiculous

John Cena Has Got A New Haircut And People Think He Looks Ridiculous

It's been a big few days for the WWE Universe. They've just put on a huge performance at a one-off event in Australia called Super Show-Down and there have been a few things that have really got people talking.

For starters, The Undertaker and Triple H squared off for what looks likely to be the last time ever - but on top of two of the greats of the Attitude Era seemingly signing off, it looks like John Cena could be about to pack it in as well.

It's been well documented that he's had a few personal troubles recently as a result of his break-up from fiancé Nikki Bella, and he's also got his movie career to think of, but he's always had wrestling as a constant.

That is, until now.

After he fought in a tag team match alongside Bobby Lashley against Kevin Owens and Elias, he grabbed a microphone and made an emotional speech to the crowd.

He said: "I have no idea what the future holds so I focus on the now.

"And right now, I'm standing in front of 70,000 people. And I mean this from the bottom of my heart, there's not a better feeling in the world.

"Thank you for letting me perform in this country and at this epic event tonight."

There you go - that sounds pretty much like a goodbye, right?

Fans certainly think so. They've been chatting about it on social media since it happened.

Oh, and did I mention that John Cena has hair now?

He's ditched his traditional buzzcut for a longer hairstyle with a fringe. He looks like a politician that's trying to get young people on his side.

That's caused almost as much of a stir as his 'Will he? Won't he?' retirement speech.

Although, the signs have been there or a while - not that he was thinking of growing out his hair, but that he was going to hang up the sweatbands and leave the WWE Universe.

Last month he posted a message to his fans that also felt very much like a retirement. OK, he's been emotional recently, but this really looked like a signing off.

He said: "Nothing lasts forever. When doing something you love, make sure to be present and enjoy it. That way if and when it ends, you can look back with fond memories instead of regret.

"I am guilty of this myself but I'm changing my view now. Hard work and persistence are needed for success, but so is rest and recovery. Busy periods of time will come, but never sell short recharging yourself. I'm NOT on 'the grind 24/7' because rest is more productive."

Hmm. You'd have to suspect that we haven't heard the last of this.
