He's doing his best

Arsenal talisman Mesut Ozil has admitted to doing his best to tap up some of his German teammates while on international duty.

A host of German players have been linked with moves to the English top tier - Leroy Sane, Julian Draxler and Mario Gotze to name a few. And Ozil confessed that he does try and sell the Premier League to his teammates.

Speaking to BILD, he said:

Definitively. It was always my goal to prove myself at the big clubs abroad. And I only have positive things to say about Premier League if somebody wants to move abroad.

The 27-year old arrived in England in 2013 courtesy of a massive summer deadline day move to Arsenal. He admits he has had difficulty adapting to the English game but enjoys the Premier League and all that goes with it.

The league is very interesting, very balanced: The best example being Leicester winning the title. It's just a lot of fun to play football in England. Indeed, it's extremely exhausting, but you can relish it.If a national team player asks me what it's like in England, I reply: 'If you have the opportunity, do it!' If I were to make the decision to go abroad again, I would definitely do it just like I did it.

Could we see a few more German players move to the English top flight this summer? Let us know in the comments.
