Fans of the Women's National Basketball Association have called for one match spectator to be banned for life for a shocking x-rated incident.
Basketball fans tuning in to the WNBA clash between Atlanta Dream and the Golden State Valkyries were left lost for words after a bizarre object was thrown onto the court.
The incident happened as there was just one minute left to play in the tense match, with the score sitting at an even 75-75, and, despite some players showing concern about the object, play continued.
Once the Valkyries' possession ended, the game was temporarily halted as match officials came on court to retrieve the object and remove it from the court.

And as soon as they discovered what exactly had been thrown onto the court, both fans and the WNBA players were completely shocked.

Footage of the incident revealed that the object thrown by a spectator was a bright green sex toy which was eventually found underneath a seat at the side of the court.
Eventually, after some discussions about what to do, a police officer appeared to be handed a piece of cloth from a nearby fan, allowing them to collect the sex toy and remove it.

As this happened, an announcement was played throughout the arena reminding fans that anyone who throws objects on the court will be immediately kicked out.
Eventually, a clip of the moment was shared on social media, and fans quickly called for the supporter who had thrown the sex toy to be banned from attending all future matches.
Reacting to the moment, one fan wrote on X: "Bro that fan gotta get banned for life for that."
While one joked: "Neon green on a dark court shows there was thought that went into this lol."

With another asking: "How did they even get it in!?"
The match was then able to resume, with the Valkyries' gathering themselves and going on to win the match 77-75, putting an end to their dismal form away from their home court in the Chase Center.
It marked only the fourth win on the road for the Valkyries from 13 away games.
