Steph Curry has made his feelings clear on brother Seth joining him at the Warriors amid trade rumours

Seth has been linked with a trade to the Warriors, which would see him link up with older brother Steph

Steph Curry has previously made his feelings clear on brother Seth and his basketball career as reports that younger Curry could join the NBA star at the Golden State Warriors do the rounds.

Seth Curry is currently a free agent following his time at the Charlotte Hornets and the younger Curry, a sharpshooter himself, has been linked with a switch to the Warriors.

ESPN reporter Anthony Slater has reported that both Seth and the Warriors have a “mutual interest” in signing a contract together.

Steph has never had the chance to play with brother Seth at a professional level, which presents an appealing opportunity for the NBA icon.

The Warriors are delaying any final signings until they know the status of Jonathan Kuminga, who has been linked with a Bucks trade, so a deal that would see Seth move to San Francisco is currently on ice.

Steph has routinely kept tabs on brother Seth

It’s a move that Steph would undoubtedly welcome with open arms considering the quick adjustment he made when Seth moved from the 76ers to the Nets in 2022, hinting that he routinely keeps on top of the latter’s exploits.

“I had to change my favourite team in my phone to get the alerts from Philly to Brooklyn,” Steph said of Seth’s trade after a 117-115 win over the Lakers.

And it wouldn’t be the first family affair on the court in the NBA, with a father-son relationship routinely making the headlines in men’s basketball.

LeBron James and his son Bronny currently ply their trade for the LA Lakers, and are likely to do so for another season at least.

Bronny has previously stated, though, that he wants to make a name for himself not be remembered as the son of one of the greatest NBA players of all time.

“I just want to have people know ‘my name is Bronny James’ and not just be identified as LeBron James’ son,” Bronny said in an interview with ESPN last year.

LeBron has also been linked with Warriors trade

LeBron, who has also been linked with a move to the Warriors, albeit in the free agency when his current Lakers deal expires next year.

Even so, Seth joining Steph at the Warriors would add another narrative as the San Francisco franchise look to claim a first winners’ ring under Steve Kerr since 2022.

What would make things interesting is if the Warriors do sign Seth on, while adding both LeBron and Bronny to the ranks in 12 months’ time to gave Kerr’s side a real family feel.
