Shaquille O'Neal has agreed with Michael Jordan on the only player who compares to Steph Curry as the greatest point guard in NBA history.

Four-time NBA champion Curry is regarded as the greatest shooter of all-time following his exploits on the court.

Many basketball critics have him down as the best-ever point guard, but Jordan sees it differently.

Jordan, who has previously weighed in on whether Curry is a Hall of Famer, acknowledged the 37-year-old but opted for Magic Johnson as the GOAT point guard.

Johnson spent his entire career at the Los Angeles Lakers and won five NBA championships during his iconic career.

"Good morning sir. Although greatest of anything is always a debate, I beg to differ on 'greatest point guard of all time'," said Jordan in a text message sent to Stephen A. Smith.

"Magic Johnson is easily the best point guard of all time. Steph Curry is very close, but not in front of Magic. You must define point guard to really have a serious debate."

Well, O'Neal isn't a fan of comparing players from different generations as he believes Johnson was the best point guard of his era while claiming Curry is the best in that position out of the current crop.

Asked to name the best point guard in NBA history, O'Neal told SPORTbible: "Either Steph Curry or Magic Johnson. I don't really like to answer these questions because you have to pick sides. I like to pick eras. Magic was the man in his era and this era we are living in now, it belongs to Steph Curry."

'Shaq' also doubled down on his stance that Curry deserves to be in the GOAT conversation after getting involved in a heated debate with the Inside The NBA crew.

On Curry being in the GOAT debate, the 53-year-old added: "Yes, he should! Everything he does is great. He's beat LeBron (James) a few times, he's won some championships, and he did it the right way. Nobody has even come close to what he has done."

But O'Neal had a more conservative approach when asked where Curry would rank in an NBA GOAT list if he called time on his career today.

"I don't know. A lot of people have their views," he explained. "If we are going to have this conversation, I'd like to see all the names in the conversation."

Shaquille O'Neal was speaking to SPORTbible as part of his latest team-up with DFS to showcase the latest La-Z-Boy chair range. You can view the new range and get more information here.
