Michael Jordan's new role on NBC has been 'leaked' ahead of the new NBA season.
In May, NBC announced that Jordan will be a special contributor to its NBA coverage for the 2025/26 season, having acquired the broadcast rights for the league for the first time since 2002.
At the time of the blockbuster announcement, the network did not disclose details regarding Jordan's specific role.
But ahead of the new season tipping off, an NBC pundit has teased what basketball fans can expect when the 62-year-old embarks on his first TV role covering the league in any capacity since calling time on his legendary career in 2003.

Sports broadcaster Cris Collinsworth revealed it will be a 'deep dive into the brain of Jordan', who is widely regarded as the GOAT following his six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls.

Appearing on the Up & Adams Show with Kay Adam, Collinsworth seemed to provide expectations of Jordan's role.
"I’m gonna get shot for some of this," he joked. "I'm sure it’s all a big surprise, but it will be a deep dive into the brain of Michael Jordan. Is that enough of a tease without giving away anything?

"The things that you would really want to know from Michael Jordan, if you got a chance to sit down and just have a conversation with Michael Jordan.
"No cameras, just a couple glasses of wine and just enjoy a great conversation about all the things that you knew about him or thought you knew about him... you’re gonna get that."

Collinsworth added: "It’s like details way inside the brain of the greatest basketball player that ever lived... I think you’ll get very much the Michael experience

Jordan, who was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009, is excited to get things started on NBC ahead of the new NBA season.
"I am so excited to see the NBA back on NBC," he said of his appointment to the new role.
"The NBA on NBC was a meaningful part of my career, and I’m excited about being a special contributor to the project."
