UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev has called out another current UFC champion, claiming he wants to fight him on the upcoming UFC White House card.

The UFC White House card will likely take place on June 14, 2026 – US President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday – after initially being planned for the 250th American Independence Day on July 4.

The event will be held on the South Lawn of the White House in Washington, D.C., with several big names, including Conor McGregor and Jon Jones, putting themselves forward to feature on the card.

The official card is not yet confirmed, but it will likely be one to remember given the prestige of the event and where it’s taking place.

And one man who appears keen on making an appearance is Chimaev.

The 31-year-old won the UFC Middleweight Championship last time out when he defeated Dricus du Plessis by unanimous decision at UFC 319 in Chicago back in August of 2025.

The Russia-born fighter currently boasts a perfect MMA record of 15 wins from as many fights, with 12 victories coming inside the distance.

Chimaev sports wins over top-class opponents such as Kamaru Usman, Robert Whittaker, and Kevin Holland, but his potential next fight may prove an even tougher challenge.

On Monday (January 12), the unbeaten fighter took to social media and appeared to call out current light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira.

“Let’s go White House. Don’t worry, I will finish you fast @AlexPereiraUFC,” he wrote.

Then just one minute later, he posted again.

“All Brazilian fans tell this boy if you’re not scared, tell him to fight,” Chimaev wrote in the second tweet.

The Brazilian lost his title to Magomed Ankalaev in March of 2025 but wasted no time in regaining the crown with an 80-second knockout win over the Russian in October.

Since joining the UFC in 2021, Pereira has won 10 of his 12 fights, with his other defeat coming against Israel Adesanya back in 2022.

All but two of his wins have come inside the distance.

If the fight were to happen, Chimaev would likely have to move up a weight division. However, he may be ordered to defend his middleweight title before this is sanctioned by the UFC.

Fans were quick to react on social media.

One said: “Lol bro come on!! You get hurt every other month, Pereira will fight you with a broken foot and still win.”

Another added: “I’m a fan of Khamzat, but I can’t lie, he needs to defend his title before he can even think about going up to fight at LHW vs Alex.”

While a third claimed: “Alex Pereira, take this fight or take retirement, buddy.”
