Joe Rogan didn't hold back when naming the one sport that he couldn't play because it has the fittest athletes in the world.

Since starting 'The Joe Rogan Experience' in 2009, Rogan has hosted some of the biggest names in fight sports, including Mike Tyson, Jon Jones and Tyson Fury.

Outside of recording the podcast, the 57-year-old also regularly works with the UFC as a commentator and pundit, having been a key part of the organisations rise since 1997.

And while he regularly trains in MMA, Rogan has now admitted that there is one sports that he would embarrass himself in as he named athletes that compete in it the fittest in the world.

When speaking to guest Gad Saad, Rogan was asked if he could play on a football (soccer) pitch without looking like 'a complete moron'.

"No, No, Impossible," Rogan replied:

"Oh my God, we went to see the games here in Austin and when you watch professionals...

"First of all, here is one reason why soccer is problematic for television, they don't get breaks.

"So there's no breaks, so if you have commercials you have to interrupt the play of the game and then people have to catch up and then is it not live now?

"Or are you going to have half a commercial and half of the game? What are you going to do?

"Because they don't stop, they just keep going and you have to be insanely fit.

"Those guys are like thoroughbreds, like their legs were just f****** shredded."

The UFC commentator then admitted that football had to be the sport that had the fittest athletes competing at the highest level.

In an earlier episode with Bret Weinstein, Rogan elaborated further on his admiration for footballers.

He said: "Soccer is particularly a difficult sport in terms of your cardiovascular function. Those guys are in f******* insane shape because you have to be. The amount of strain they’re sprinting.

"I mean they are in insane shape and just the demand as a person who works out watching the demand that’s required to the body to be able to perform that way sprinting constantly”.
