Drake has caused controversy after sharing a huge bet he’s placed on UFC 300.

UFC 300, which many anticipate to be among the greatest nights in MMA history, is set to take place on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

The night’s main event, which is expected to bring in a milestone number of PPV subscriptions, will see UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira return to the ring for the first time since claiming his title back in November.

The Brazilian will mount his first title defence against Jamahal Hill, who gave up a belt of his own last year after suffering a torn achilles from playing basketball.

Ahead of UFC 300’s main event, musician Drake has placed one of his infamous bets on the competition’s main event.

The ‘God’s Plan’ star put some $675,000 (£541,860) on the beloved Pereira to get the better of Hill, with a potential return of $1,194,750 at stake.

Of course, there is a popular belief on the internet that most of the athletes Drake puts his money on lose.

Most recently, back in March, the 37-year-old put some $615,000 (£521,000) on Francis Ngannou to beat Anthony Joshua, only for the latter to dispatch his opponent in two rounds after dropping the Cameroonian three times.

Elsewhere, the Grammy-award-winning musician put enormous money on Sean Strickland to beat Dricus du Plessis, only for the then-UFC Middleweight champion to lose his crown to his South African opponent.

Drake also put a $500,000 (£401,380) bet on Israel Adesanya to beat Strickland at UFC 293, before the 34-year-old was defeated by a unanimous decision.

Another bet that went awry for Drake was when he placed a hefty $1.2million (£960,000) bet on YouTuber Jake Paul to win by knockout against his opponent Tommy Fury. The Briton went on to emerge as the winner by a split decision.
