Former UFC champion Conor McGregor has ‘confirmed’ what he and Logan Paul could be set to earn in a potential boxing match.

McGregor, 36, and Paul, 29, have been linked with a potential boxing match for some time, with the Irishman previously commenting on the situation on December 17.

“The rumours of a bout with topurio are false,” McGregor posted to X.

“I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India.”

Mukesh Ambani is the chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries and has a net worth of $94.8B, according to Forbes.

“I have agreed,” McGregor added.

“I will then seek my return to the Octagon."

Paul, who has previously fought the likes of KSI and Floyd Mayweather, has also voiced his desire to fight McGregor.

Back in August 2023, McGregor explained how he’d “slap the nose off Paul’s face”.

To which Paul replied [via MisFits]: “I’d like to see him attempt to slap the nose off my face.

“Conor McGregor is an average MMA fighter and a horrible boxer… I’m gonna beat the s*** out of him.”

In October 2023, Paul fought and defeated McGregor’s former training partner, Dillon Danis, after he was disqualified in the final round of their boxing bout due to him appearing to try and wrestle Paul.

Paul then called out McGregor in the ring, saying: “Conor McGregor, did you see that?”

Now, McGregor has got fans talking after he quote tweeted a post about the potential earnings the pair could receive for the proposed boxing match.

On Sunday afternoon, journalist Emmett Glenn took to X to reveal the ‘purses’ that Paul and McGregor could pocket.

“Logan Paul vs Conor McGregor $250m Mega Fight Set for Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium in historic visit India Campaign,” read the post to X.

McGregor then quote tweeted Glenn’s post by simply posting an India flag.

Anant Ambani, son of Mukesh, is thought to be the driving force behind the fight which is part of "Visit India" tourism campaign as reported by Fightbook MMA.

Fans were quick to give their thoughts on social media.

One said: "Logan going to extreme lengths to outshine Jake."

Another added: "Meh. I’ll watch it, but boxing doesn’t hold a candle to MMA. I’d rather see him in the octagon."

While a third commented: "Yeah I don’t think he’s ever fighting in the UFC again."

A fourth exclaimed: "Whoa, if this is true, it's going to be an insane fight! Conor McGregor vs. Logan Paul at Wankhede Stadium in India with that kind of money on the line? The hype is real."

McGregor last fought in the UFC when he lost by TKO after breaking his leg in a fight against Dustin Poirier in July 2021. And you have to go back to August 2017 for the last time he boxed, losing to Mayweather by TKO in the tenth round of their 'crossover' fight in Las Vegas.
