Conor McGregor Makes Offer To Fans After ‘Terrible’ Arsenal vs Liverpool Game

Conor McGregor shared the offer on Instagram after Arsenal and Liverpool drew 0-0 on Thursday night.

Conor McGregor made an offer to his Instagram followers after watching Arsenal play out a 0-0 draw with Liverpool on Thursday night.

After Manchester City drew for the third consecutive game against Brighton on Wednesday night, Mikel Arteta's side had the chance to move eight points clear at the top of the table.

They faced a Liverpool side who had drawn their last two and were without a number of key players, including Hugo Ekitike and Mo Salah.

But despite being under the cosh in the first half, Liverpool managed the game perfectly in the second half and dominated the ball without having a shot on target.

The point improved Arsenal's lead on City and Aston Villa to six points but the quality on show at the Emirates Stadium left a lot to be desired.

Two-weight UFC champion McGregor was among those disappointed with the stalemate, having placed a bet on Liverpool winning and sharing it on Instagram.

He wrote: "I have placed Liverpool at 6/1 on @realbetio tonight. They are 4/1 everywhere else. Also a 200% sign up bonus deposit for another 24hr."

The Irishman revealed his code was "F***FLOYD" in a dig at Mayweather, who beat him in his boxing debut to move to 50-0 in the sport.

After the result, McGregor put out a second post in partnership with Real Bet, his official gambling firm and casino, to announce a goodwill gesture.

Writing that the game "sucked" in the graphic, McGregor offered 50 per cent cashback on all bets lost on Liverpool and told his fans, "You’re welcome".

On X, he posted: "That match was absolutely terrible! I hereby announce that all bettors of Liverpool at 6/1 on @Realbet will be recouped 50% of their bet. The money will be back in your account within 24hrs. You’re welcome."

The game was without major incident until the final minutes when Conor Bradley suffered what appeared to be a serious knee injury as he attempted to clear a loose ball.

The Northern Irishman fell to the turf in agony and clutched his left knee but Gabriel Martinelli felt that the right-back was feigning injury and attempting to time-waste.

He sparked a mini-melee by dropping the ball on Bradley and pushing him off the pitch in a bid to get the game restarted.

Bradley was stretchered off and replaced by Joe Gomez deep in stoppage time, with Martinelli slammed as "disgraceful" and called an "idiot" by Gary Neville on commentary.

The Brazilian later issued an apology on Instagram. Having reached out to Bradley, Martinelli claimed he "really didn't understand he was seriously injured in the heat of the moment" and was "deeply sorry for reacting" in the way he did.
