Sean Strickland goes in on a reporter when pressing him on his LBGTQ comments in the past, tells him to “go f**k yourself”

Sean Strickland is set to star in UFC 297 this weekend

Sean Strickland had a heated encounter with a reporter over his past LBGTQ comments ahead of UFC 297.

This weekend, Strickland will be headlining UFC 297 when he takes on South African Dricus Du Plessis at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.

Ahead of the bout, Strickland was pressed on comments he made about the LBGTQ community. The American then unleashed on the reporter.

Strickland first replied by asking reporter Alex Lee if he had voted for current Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Lee said: “I’m not going to say.”

When Lee said he would not have a problem if his son was gay, Strickland said: “You’re part of the problem,” before telling the reporter to “go f**k yourself’.

The UFC star continued: “Everything that is wrong with the world is because of f**king you.

“Let me ask you something, are you gay?... No, are you gay?... Well no I'm asking you, this is a part of it, are you a gay man?... Ok, if you had a son and he was gay, you'd be like oh, man, you don't want a grandkid?... Oh, man, well, dude you're a weak f****** man, dude. You're part of the f****** problem, you elected Justin Trudeau.

“When he seized the bank accounts, like you're just f****** pathetic. The fact that you have no f****** back bone as he shut down your f****** country and seized bank accounts. You ask me some stupid s*** like that. Go f*** yourself, move the f*** on, man. You f****** coward.”

After his encounter with Strickland, Lee told Outsports: “I come from a city that has a very strong LGBTQ community.

“I’ve never been comfortable with a lot of fighters’ stances on LGBTQ issues, and he’s been worse than most. I felt it was my responsibility to communities in the city of Toronto to ask these questions.”
