Paddy Pimblett has already made his feelings clear on Conor McGregor fight as he's called out ahead of UFC 314

Conor McGregor issued a message to Paddy Pimblett and Michael Chandler ahead of their fight at UFC 314.

Paddy Pimblett has already made his feelings clear on a blockbuster fight against Conor McGregor after being called out ahead of UFC 314.

Pimblett has recorded six consecutive wins in the UFC after joining the MMA leaders.

He's beaten the likes of Rodrigo Vargas and Tony Ferguson, producing the biggest win of his budding career in his last outing against King Green at UFC 304 last summer.

'The Baddy' returns to action at this weekend's UFC 314 in Miami, Florida, when he faces MMA veteran Michael Chandler in the co-main event.

A victory over Chandler could set him up for a shot at UFC gold down the line, with Joe Rogan hailing the 30-year-old's skillset.

A big win could also see him clash against McGregor, who hasn't fought since July 2021. He was supposed to return to action against Chandler last summer until injury forced him to withdraw.

But McGregor seems to be itching to make his Octagon comeback and is 'interested' in Chandler vs. Pimblett.

On social media, he posted a video of himself hitting the pads, accompanied with the caption: "I am interested in the Chandler/Pimblett fight this weekend."

Pimblett's stance on a super-fight against the Irishman has already been made clear.

In a previous interview, the Liverpool fighter name-dropped McGregor as an opponent for his first UFC title defence once he wins the 155lbs belt.

"My plan is to fight a top five opponent, then fight for the belt. Then, my first title defense could be Conor McGregor at Anfield. Then, that is perfect, because that’s where the money is and I’m filling Anfield out, me and Conor," he said.

"But, I do wanna batter hand sanitiser boy [Ilia Topuria]. I wanna show him how small he is and show him that he’s got little man syndrome. So, he’s another one that I’d love to fight."

Chandler also wants a piece of McGregor, having had their scheduled contest fall through last year.

"I don’t know. I’m sure he’s watching. He watches and he’s very interested in coming back but can he put together a training camp, that’s the real question," he said when asked about McGregor's social media post. "We don’t know. All I know is you can see by my actions, fighting Charles Oliveira in November and now fighting five months later, Paddy Pimblett, putting my ranking on the line, going out to brave the unknown, I’m going to stay active.

“The first 26 months in the organization, I weighed in six times, fought five times. Fight of the night, fight of the year, debut of the year, knockout of the year. All I do is put on great fights and I do it for you guys and on Saturday night, we’re gonna do it again. I don’t really care what Conor tweets, if he comes back, we got to finish The Ultimate Fighter 31 and he’s gonna be impressed by my performance on Saturday night.”
