UFC Fighter Slammed for Controversial ICE Post After Renee Good Death

An insensitive joke was made on social media ahead of a big UFC fight.

Sean Strickland has been slammed for his controversial ICE post in the wake of the death of Renee Good.

An Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent shot and killed Good, a 37-year-old mother of three who had just moved to Minneapolis.

She was a prize-winning poet and a hobby guitarist, with her death sparking protests across the country.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan has weighed in, describing the incident as 'horrific' as he voiced his true feelings towards ICE.

Ex-UFC middleweight champion Strickland also shared his thoughts on Good's death and has since taken to social media to make an ICE reference to promote his upcoming fight.

Strickland, who hasn't fought since UFC 312 in February 2025, returns to the famed Octagon next month when he faces top contender Anthony Hernandez in a title eliminator.

He will be aiming to bounce back after suffering a defeat to Dricus du Plessis for the UFC middleweight title.

Hernandez, on the other hand, is on a tear, having won eight UFC fights in a row, including big victories over Edmen Shahbazyan, Brendan Allen and Roman Dolidze.

The winner of Strickland vs. Hernandez, which takes place in Houston, Texas, could be in line for a title shot.

Ahead of their middleweight clash on February 21, Strickland took to social media to share a mock poster of their main-event bout.

He shared an image of himself in a ICE uniform, which also showed Hernandez, who is of Mexican descent, in a sombrero and poncho.

The 34-year-old posted it on Instagram without a caption but wrote on X: "If you cant laugh at this you're a c**t. Go away."

Needless to say, Strickland's ill-timed social media post was condemned by people on social media.

One X user wrote: "Nah, its just insensitive. Put your macho ego aside & be considerate of others for once. You'd hate to be the one on the other side," while a second added: "What an embarrassing pile of sh*t."

What has Sean Strickland said about Renee Good's death?

Since Good's death, several videos of the shooting has emerged online, prompting further condemnation around how the ICE agent behaved.

In a slow-motion clip of her appearing to hit an ICE agent, Strickland commented: "Darwinsim in full effect...."

Given how outspoken Strickland is on social media, he was always going to comment on Good's death, having previously had a 'disturbing' reaction to Charlie Kirk's assassination.
