Fighter reveals her UFC 'pay' after main-event suddenly cancelled just minutes before walkouts

Erin Blanchfield's fight against Maycee Barber was cancelled just minutes before the first bell.

Erin Blanchfield's UFC 'pay' from her cancelled main-event bout against Maycee Barber has been revealed.

The UFC returned last Saturday as a Fight Night card took centre stage at the Apex.

A UFC women's flyweight bout between Blanchfield vs. Barber was supposed to headline the event in Las Vegas, Nevada.

However, just minutes before the first bell, Barber, who missed weight at Friday's official weigh-ins, wasn't medically cleared to compete, and the contest was subsequently cancelled.

UFC commentator Brendan Fitzgerald announced the cancellation during the broadcast.

Despite not fighting, Blanchfield has received some good news.

According to her management team, Knock Out Representation, she will be given her show and win money.

Based on her previous fights in the UFC, she is in line to receive a purse in the region of £45,000 ($60,000).

Blanchfield was hoping to make her first UFC appearance of the year, having not fought since her big victory over Rose Namajunas last November.

Whether she can land on a card in the coming weeks remains to be seen, but one thing's for sure, she isn't interested in rescheduling a fight against Barber and claimed her rival needs to leave the women's flyweight division.

"She needs to look at another division,” Blanchfield said about Barber. "She needs to fix her life. She needs to just fix herself. I think she’s a complete mess in every aspect of her entire life.

"I’ve never even had any other opponents miss weight before or act the way she does. It’s pretty crazy, especially at this level. You expect all the athletes to be professional so it’s pretty wild."

Asked if she still wants to face Barber, the 26-year-old replied: "No, I would not want to book another fight with her. I would like to reassess, see who’s available. I still want to fight within the top five, still push towards that title fight. I think I need to talk to my manager, talk to Mick [Maynard], see what can happen."
