An MMA fighter whose bout at UFC 325 was cancelled after a mishap when he took part in the pre-fight weigh-ins has learned his fate.
UFC 325 took place overnight in Sydney, Australia, at the city's Qudos Bank Arena and was headlined by the featherweight rematch of Alexander Volkanovski taking on Diego Lopes.
Volkanovski emerged victorious and defended his UFC Featherweight Championship, which he won from Lopes at UFC 314 last April.
Like the previous result, Volkanovski won by unanimous decision from the judges, and means his MMA record now stands at 28 victories from 32 matches, with only four losses to his name.

Lopes meanwhile now has a record which reads 27 wins from 35 matches, with his second loss against Volkanovski being the eighth of his MMA career.
Combat sports, such as MMA and boxing, have weigh-ins close to events in a bid to ensure that fighters are within the confines of their particular weight category, and to make sure the fight can go ahead with one competitor not having an unfair weight advantage over the over.
However, one fight at UFC 325 did not end up going ahead after it was pulled from the event card due to a mishap from one fighter when the weigh-ins took place.

New Zealand fighter Aaron Tau boasts an MMA record of 11 wins and only one defeat.
The 32-year-old has been taking part in Road to UFC Season Four, which sees the top MMA prospects from Asia competing to win contracts to fight in the UFC.
This weekend at UFC 325, the finals for the various weight categories took place, but Tau's flyweight bout against Mongolian fighter Namsrai Batbayar did not happen.
The reason for this was because Tau did not make the flyweight limit.
The Kiwi fighter initially weighed 122.25lb behind a curtain, which was 3.75lb under the weight limit and raised questions why it was needed, as it is typically used for when there are very tight limits.
Tau then stepped on the scales again in his underwear and weighed 129lb, which is 3lb over the flyweight limit. He attempted to 'cheat' the scales by placing his hands on the curtain but the damage was done.
This led to the fight being removed from the UFC 325 card - and the organisation, ran by its president Dana White, has now made a decision on the bout.
It has now been confirmed that the fight between Tau and Batbayer - the latter of whom has an MMA record of nine wins and one loss - will be rescheduled for later in 2026, as revealed by commentator John Gooden during the broadcast for UFC 325.
Tau himself has apologised for the controversy he caused at the weigh-in.
Taking to Instagram, he wrote: "I need to apologize to my opponent, the UFC, my team and my fans.
"Thought I pushed to the end, I have one job, to make weight and fight. I didn’t do that. I’m sorry."
