Dana White issued a response to Tom Aspinall's stinging claims about him over the UFC star's eye injury.

Aspinall appeared on The Ariel Helwani Show at the start of the month and addressed his eye injury that he sustained in his no-contest against Ciryl Gane at UFC 321.

He gave a fresh update on his eye injury and criticised White for his immediate reaction to the UFC 321 main-event incident.

Speaking at the UFC 321 post-fight press conference in October, the UFC boss claimed the British star didn't want to 'continue'.

White's comments weren't appreciated by UFC heavyweight king Aspinall, who seemingly accused him of lying and said it 'didn't help the cause'.

"[Dana White] hadn't spoken to me, and he was already giving updates on my health," he told Ariel Helwani.

"He had no idea what had gone on. It was disappointing, mate. [His comments] definitely didn't help the cause... I don't really have a relationship with Dana," he added. "I don't really know what to say, that's the way it is."

Well, following Saturday's UFC 323 in Las Vegas, White was asked about Aspinall's comments.

The 56-year-old, however, insists he wasn't 'saying anything negative' against him and revealed the UFC have 'people all over him' as he recovers.

“I get it. I don’t remember exactly what I said. What did I say? I think his eyes are OK? I know Tom said I haven’t even talked to him and all this stuff," he said at the UFC 323 post-fight press conference. "We have people all over him right now, checking up on him, making sure he’s good, does he need any help or any specialists. I’m no doctor. I’m just saying what I’ve heard."

White added: “It wasn’t said in a way [to be detrimental], 'I said I think he’s fine'. It wasn’t like that. I said I think Tom’s eyes are good, he’s going to take some time, heal and come back. That’s all I said.

“I wasn’t saying anything negative towards him. I think things can be taken out of context or he didn’t see what I said because I don’t even remember what the f**k I said. But never once did I say anything negative about him or in a derogatory way."
