Side-by-side pictures of Jon Jones' physique shows his incredible heavyweight transformation

Side-by-side pictures of Jon Jones' physique shows his incredible heavyweight transformation ahead of his highly-anticipated UFC return against Ciryl Gane.

Jones, who hasn't fought since February 2020 when he beat Dominick Reyes, is set to meet Gane for the vacant UFC heavyweight title in the main-event of UFC 285 on Saturday.

It's not only his first Octagon appearance in over three years but also his fight bout in the UFC heavyweight division, having moved up in weight after dominating the light-heavyweight division.

He's days away from making his heavyweight debut and ahead of his comeback, UFC have uploaded images of his physique from the UFC 285 pre-fight photo shoot.

It's a first glimpse of 'Bones' beyond the 205lbs weight category as he seeks to become a two-weight UFC champion.

There's also an image of Jones which compares his body from his light-heavyweight days to his current physique.

The 35-year-old spoke to reporters ahead of challenging for the UFC heavyweight title and said he feels like a 'stronger version of himself'.

He said: "Honestly I feel like a stronger version of myself. I’m not super lean. I don’t have a mean six pack like I used to.

"That took me a while to get used to, you know what I mean? Like, back in the day I would judge my fitness level by the way I looked in the mirror.

"I’m a heavyweight now. It’s not about what you look like. It’s about how you perform. I feel like I’m performing really well... I feel really good. I like it. I get to eat what I want, feel good. Life is good."

Gane, 32, will welcome Jones back to the UFC. He returned to the win column against Tai Tuivasa following his UFC championship defeat Francis Ngannou.
