Ngannou edged out Gane on the scorecards to defend his UFC heavyweight title in Anaheim, California.
But his victory over his former teammate failed to impress Jones, who mocked the pair of UFC heavyweight stars.
During the main-event bout, he tweeted: "If this is the Apex of heavyweight fighting, I’m excited about it. Got some more records to break."

'Bones' also made an ominous warning: "At the end of the day, I’m f**king them both up."
