Israel Adesanya's rival claims he is 'out of UFC 287' thanks to unlikely injury, he's the biggest troll

Israel Adesanya's rival claims he is 'out of UFC 287' thanks to unlikely injury, he's the biggest troll

Paulo Costa never stops trolling.

Paulo Costa is the biggest troll in the UFC.

MMA fans are used to the Brazilian causing some mischief online, I mean who can forget the ‘secret juice’?

He’s been at it again, and this time around a former rival has been the butt end of his joke.

Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa went to war over the middleweight title at UFC 253, and no love was lost.

The Last Stylebender is set to take on another rival of his in Alex Pereira in a rematch from the shocking result that saw him lose his championship.

It’s one of the most highly anticipated bouts in recent times, especially after Adesanya’s domination in the middleweight division.

But if you were mindlessly scrolling through Twitter without paying proper attention to what you were reading you may have come across a shocking post courtesy of Costa.

He tweeted an image that claimed that Israel Adesanya was out of UFC 287.

Although if you stopped mid-scroll and properly had a deep dive into the image, you’d realise that the Brazilian was once again on the troll.

The image reads: “Israel Adesanya out of UFC 287, sudden clitoris fracture.”

I mean, you can’t help but laugh at Borrachinha’s creativity.

Unsurprisingly MMA fans were equally confused and in stitches by the post.

But just to clear up, the UFC 287 main event is still on as far as we’re concerned.

The rivalry between Costa and Adesnaya turned pretty personal ahead of the title bout back in 2020.

During the pre-fight press conference, Costa had pulled out a white belt and thrown it Adesanya’s way as a dig at the then-champion’s grappling skills.

A brawl broke out after the New Zealander threw the belt back before it was immediately broken up.

The former middleweight champ claimed that he saw the fight as a therapeutic journey for him as he compared Costa to the bullies he grew up with.

And even though they’re no longer up against each other, it looks as though Costa isn’t done with toying with Adesanya.
