Video of UFC star Israel Adesanya easily submitting Logan Paul goes viral

Israel Adesanya showed off his ground skills against Logan Paul.

A video has resurfaced online of UFC star Israel Adesanya forcing Logan Paul to tap following a ground exchange.

Paul earlier this year announced Adesanya - as well as UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski - as the 'first official PRIME athletes' in a major statement.

Ahead of the blockbuster announcement, UFC middleweight title holder Adesanya and WWE talent Paul had been training together.

The American rolled with the Nigerian-born Kiwi fighter, who showed off his Brazilian jiu-jitsu skills as he pulled off a slick submission.

The clip shows Paul on top before Adesanya locks in a triangle choke, forcing the tap.

"I almost made it out," Paul said after being released from the submission.

The footage of Paul and Adesanya grappling got fight fans online talking.

One Twitter user wrote: "People underestimate how strong is Adesanya. keep in mind Logan is state champ, d1 wrestler, all American. He also out wrestled Paulo Costa."

A second tweeted: "I know people like to make fun of Jake and Logan, but I always have respected that competitive spirit in them."

A third added: "I love this. No ego, just sharing the arts!"

A fourth questioned: "Isn’t Logan the wrestler and Adesanya the kick-boxer."

Another commented: "That was easy!!"

The link-up between Paul and Adesanya comes after 'The Last Stylebender' produced a sensational performance to beat Alex Pereira.

He stopped the Brazilian with a thunderous knockout to regain the UFC middleweight champion last April.

Adesanya will be proudly sponsoring PRIME in his next Octagon outing but recently stated that he won't be fighting 'for a long time'.
