UFC 280 crowd give Hasbullah Magomedov a huge reception

UFC 280 crowd give Hasbullah Magomedov a huge reception

Hasbullah was in the crowd to see Islam Makhachev become UFC champion, defeating Charles Oliveira, and got a huge cheer.

UFC fans were loving Hasbullah Magomedov being in the crowd at UFC 280, as the little Russian with a big personality was given a huge ovation.

The 19-year-old small man has become an internet sensation in the past couple of years, with his incredible lifestyle often featuring on social media.

Habullah has had run ins with the likes of Shaquille O'Neal, who took a nasty shot from the teenager, Logan Paul and even Conor McGregor.

The latter two were on social media and him and the Irishman have often called each other out on Twitter, with Dana White even getting involved.

On Saturday night, the recently signed to UFC Russian was in the crowd in Abu Dhabi, as the promotion returned to the Etihad Arena.

Hasbullah was there to support fellow countryman Islam Makhachev, as he took on Charles Oliveira for the lightweight championship, in the main event.

There were plenty of big names in attendance, including newly crowned welterweight champion Leon Edwards, as well as those on a stacked card.

However, it was Hasbullah that the rest of the crowd were clearly happy to see, with the teenager getting a huge amount of adulation when the camera panned to him and put him on the big screen in the arena.

Hasbullah, who has previously punched Khabib Nurmagomedov in a video, was in Makhachev's corner for the fight with Oliveira, along with Nurmagomedov, who coaches his fellow Russian.

The title was vacant after the Brazilian couldn't make weight in his previous title defence against Justin Gaethje but ended up winning the fight.

Makhachev has felt like the coming man ever since making his UFC debut in 2015, even though he went on to lose his second fight.

He had recently stepped up in class when it came to his opponents, continuing to dominate everyone in the division, leading to his title fight.

Oliveira has the most finishes in the promotion's history but he found himself on the receiving end of one for the first time since 2017.

Makhachev managed to make him tap out in the second round, knocking his opponent down before jumping on him and applying an armbar.

Even before that fight, Hasbullah could be heard shouting his encouragement to a fighter, during Russian born English fighter Muhammad Mokaev's win over Malcolm Gordon.

It wasn't all fun and games for the Russian contingent at cage side, with Russian born Swedish star Khamzat Chimaev involved in an altercation with the Makhachev team.

The middleweight, who is tipped to be a future champion himself despite only six fights in the UFC so far, got in a scuffle with Khabib's brother Abdurazak.

The UFC hall of famer has been critical of Chimaev in the past, following a clash in his press conference ahead of his previous fight.
