How old is Hasbulla? His age, nationality and condition explained

Hasbulla Magomedov has become a viral sensation and recently signed a contract with UFC.

Hasbulla Magomedov is a viral sensation with a UFC contract and a knack of turning up in the most unexpected places, but just how old is he?

Over the past couple of years, the Russian has become an internet favourite, often cropping up in the most surprising and hilarious of circumstances.

His looks and charisma, as well as facial expressions, have certainly made his hijinks even funnier, as have the reactions of others around him.

That was best shown by his recent meeting with Mike Tyson, as he landed punches on Iron Mike, before the former world's most dangerous man picked up the 'MMA star' as if he were a child.

Here's everything you need to know about Hasbulla.

How old is Hasbulla?

Don't be fooled by the baby-face, Hasbulla is actually 20 years old but suffers from dwarfism, giving him a child-like appearance and voice due to his stunted growth.

Is Hasbulla related to Khabib?

Despite the pair being from the same part of Russia - Dagestan - and Hasbulla being dubbed "Mini Khabib" they're actually not related. They have, however, become best mates since Hasbulla's rise to internet stardom, appearing in a host of TikTok videos together and even butting heads in the Octagon.

What is Hasbulla's condition?

There's no official information on Hasbulla's disease but it's been reported that he has dwarfism, which affects growth and can cause other physical problems, such as bowed legs or an unusually curved spine, according to the NHS. Genes can play a part but it's usually a result of the body not producing enough growth hormone.

It can be caused by over 400 medical conditions, say experts at the Restricted Growth Association, but most sufferers are able to live normal, healthy lives. Five-time Paralympic gold medallist Ellie Simmonds OBE and Tyrion Lannister himself, Peter Dinklage, for example, both have achondroplasia, whose primary feature is dwarfism.

Where is Hasbulla from?

The TikTok star is from Dagestan, which is a republic of Russia in the very south of the country, bordering Azerbaijan and Georgia. It's a country known for producing fighters - whether that's in taekwondo, wrestling, muay thai, boxing or MMA. Khabib is the best-known but he opened the door for several of his compatriots to join him in the UFC, including flyweight Askar Askarov and welterweight Muslim Salikhov.
