Former UFC Fighter Mike Perry Pulls Out A BASEBALL BAT And Threatens To Hit His Opponent During Heated Press Conference

Former UFC Fighter Mike Perry Pulls Out A BASEBALL BAT And Threatens To Hit His Opponent During Heated Press Conference

Perry clashed with Julian Lane ahead of their fight for the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.

Another MMA promotional event ended in bizarre circumstances on Thursday, after former UFC fighter 'Platinum' Mike Perry threatened to hit an opponent with a baseball bat.

Perry pulled out the bat during a heated news conference for his upcoming fight with Julian Lane for the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC). Watch the video below:

The pay-per view event, dubbed ‘Knucklemania 2’, sees Perry take on Lane on Saturday in his first fight since being released by the UFC.

The pair traded insults throughout the news conference before it boiled over in dramatic fashion.

Perry attempted to goad Lane with the insult, ‘What’s up little b***h?’, before pulling the baseball bat out of his pants.

He then proceeded to wave it around above his head to the amusement of Lane, who says: "You’ve got a bat, b****? He needs a bat.

“What are you going to do with that? My peoples already waiting outside to get your a** but I’ve got to make them wait so I can let you get in the ring and get really f***** up.

“So with that bat, you might want to watch yourself when you’re walking out of here, you’re going to play like that."

Perry then dismantles the bat, suggesting the weapon was not as dangerous as it first appeared and potentially just a gimmick to promote the fight.

The pair will settle their feud this weekend after previously clashing at another BKFC event when Perry was on commentary duties.

They were both involved in a cageside brawl at BKFC Fight Night: Tampa in December.

Perry fought 15 times in the UFC between 2016 and 2021 before being released by the company following his defeat to Daniel Rodriguez in April.

Lane, meanwhile, competed in season 16 and season 25 of the UFC’s Ultimate Fighter.
