Conor McGregor's wife rubs UFC star's chest in 'strange' scenes on live TV

Conor McGregor's wife rubs UFC star's chest in 'strange' scenes on live TV

Fans online were confused by the scenes.

MMA fans were buzzing to see Conor McGregor in attendance at UFC 285.

However, they couldn't quite seem to wrap their heads around why his wife felt the need to rub his chest when the cameras panned out to him.

A bunch of big-name celebs were snapped sitting cageside ahead of Jon Jones' comeback.

But the people who got perhaps the loudest cheer when their faces appeared on the big screen inside T-Mobile Arena was none other than Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor McGregor.

The duo are set to appear alongside each other in the remake of the movie Road House.

And to promote the upcoming film, the pair were in the crowd to witness history as Jones captured the heavyweight title in devastating fashion.

But when Gyllenhaal and McGregor made a cameo appearance on the live television broadcast, the Irishman's partner Dee Devlin leaned over and rubbed her husband's chest.

Given the two are married, it seemed like a fairly innocent and innocuous move at the time – but not in the eyes of some, it seems.

When the footage made its way onto social media, fans wasted no time in questioning it.

Replying to McGregor's Instagram post, one person said: "Why is she rubbing him like that? Strange."

As another added: "What is she doing?"

And a third commented: "Hows Dee rubbing him up."

On the other hand, some people leapt to her defence.

One fan said: "Wife we all deserve."

As another added: "Dee is the secret ingredient."

While one claimed: "I can tell a lot of guys in this comment section don’t have a girlfriend."

McGregor, who has been recovering from a broken leg he suffered in 2021, has been in Las Vegas filming The Ultimate Fighter TV show.

He's also juggling that commitment with being on-set for Road House.

The former dual-division champion also made a surprise appearance at the UFC 285 weigh-ins.

“Las Vegas! Who’s ready for tomorrow night?” McGregor said.

“We got the biggest fight in Road House history. Harris vs Dalton, UFC 222.

“Everyone in this arena, you’re about to be part of my movie that’s coming out with myself and Jake Gyllenhaal. Let’s go Las Vegas!”
