Over the past few days since the news broke about the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund withdrawing their funding from LIV Golf at the end of the current season, questions have arisen around the future of the stars on that circuit.
LIV Golf are aiming to find outside investment to keep it afloat, but there appears to be a feeling that its stars, the likes of Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm, may seek a return to the PGA Tour.
However, these stars may suffer a similar punishment to Brooks Koepka upon his return to the PGA tour, which could put them off as the five-time major champion went through a one-time returning member programme that could cost him up to $90 million in charitable donations and forfeitures of bonuses and equity.
Fans, pundits and stars of the sport may be split on whether the LIV golfers should be able to return to the PGA Tour with US President Donald Trump giving his opinion on the subject.

The opinions that may matter most are those of currently playing the sport in both LIV Golf and those who participate on the PGA Tour at present, and now Scottie Scheffler has been asked for his view on the situation.
Scheffler is currently taking part in the Cadillac Championship on the Blue Monster in Miami, and he was asked just after his round about it, and he had a brief and succinct answer.
He said: “I just got off the golf course; I don’t know what you want from me.”

Jordan Spieth's response to the LIV golfers returning to the PGA Tour
Scheffler was not the only golfer at the Cadillac Championship asked about the current situation on LIV Golf and the potential return of the stars to the PGA Tour.
Jordan Spieth was asked about the situation, and it is safe to say he gave a longer and potentially more interesting answer for fans to dissect.
He said: “I'm not sure.
“I’m not sure if it should be the same for everyone. I know olive branches were given out, you know, a couple of months ago.
"Brooks (Koepka) took 'em up on it. So I'm not sure what would now change.
"Obviously with, if it -- and I don't even know – that doesn't necessarily mean that LIV’s not going to still move on, too.

"I think there's just too many unknowns for me to have a good gauge on what would happen there.
“But I think, if there's a system for Brooks and a system for Patrick Reed, does that stay the same for guys in the same category as those two coming back, or does it change now?
“Does it change for guys who sued and dropped their membership?
“There’s just a lot of different things that happened over the last four years for that.
“I’m kind of glad I’m not in that room, and I trust the guys that are in that room to make the right decision.”
