Jon Rahm's Ryder Cup place could be in doubt if he fails to reach an agreement with the DP World Tour - who he claims are 'extorting players'.
Rahm quit the PGA Tour in 2023 to join LIV Golf, and quickly became one of the world's highest-earning athletes.
The Spaniard has recorded three top-10 finishes in PGA majors since his arrival in LIV Golf.
He was also selected for the Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black last year, which Europe won by 15 points to 13 against United States.

But he was not listed in a group of eight DP World Tour - the PGA's European branch - members that had been given permission to participate

As part of the agreement, the golfers will not face any disciplinary action or fines as long as they meet a strict series of conditions.
They also must pay any outstanding fines - a stipulation that Rahm has previously vehemently disagreed with.
The Athletic report that Rahm's participation in the 2027 Ryder Cup, due to be hosted at Adare Manor in Ireland, is now 'in serious doubt'.
Speaking ahead of the LIV Golf Hong Kong tournament, the Spaniard explained why he has not signed the agreement, stating that, 'in a way, they [the DP World Tour] are extorting players'.
"I don't like what they are doing currently with the contract they're having us sign," Rahm said.
"They're asking me to play a minimum of six events, and they dictate where two of those have to be, amongst other things that I don't agree with.

"I did tell them to lower that to four events, like the minimum says, and I'll sign tonight. They haven't agreed to that.
"I just refuse to play six events. I don't want to, and that's not what the rules say.
"It just seems they're using our impact in tournaments, fining us and trying to benefit both ways from what we have to offer.
"In a way they're extorting players like myself and young players that have nothing to do with the politics of the game. So I don't like the situation and I'm not going to agree to that [the proposed agreement]."
