Harry Kane's 'Wild' Golf Swing Has Baffled Fans, We've Never Seen Anything Like It

Spurs striker Harry Kane took part in the highly-anticipated 'Icons Series' golf tournament in New Jersey this week – and his unusual, yet very capable swing has got people talking online.
The 28-year-old England international, who is currently playing off scratch, took part in the inaugural event alongside some of the biggest names in sport.
He was joined by Canelo Alvarez, Brian Lara and Ash Barty on Team Rest of the World, while the likes of Michael Phelps and Fred Couples lined up for Team USA at the Liberty National golf club.
Thousands gathered around the course to see the action unfold.
And on Friday afternoon, keen golfer Kane kicked off his singles clash against American football quarterback Ben Roethlisberger with a monstrous drive down the fairway.
Even former world number one Ernie Els congratulated his teammate from the first tee. But rather than the shot itself, fans were quick to pick up on Kane's unique swing.

One fan commented on the clip, saying: "I’ve never seen a golf swing like this before in my entire life, but it’s Harry Kane so I love it," while another wrote: "That takeaway is freaking my out."
A third commented: "That is the weirdest golf swing I've ever seen."
Another keen golfer said the swing works for him, too. "I do the same, was struggling with a driver for months. I’m a decent golfer of scratch and really struggled so was searching for something, tried this one day as the range and it worked beautifully and added 15yds. Don’t ask me why it works but it does."

The England captain impressed on the course with a series of well-placed shots, but arguably his best moment of the weekend was this 18-foot putt.

In the past, Kane has refused to rule out a future in professional golf.
“I think that’s a long way away," he said. "You never say never in anything. I’m off scratch at the moment. I’m way off what the pros are at, at the moment, I know that for sure.
“I’m concentrating on football. Golf is a great hobby to have to get away from football – especially during the season as well. That’s what I use it for at the moment."
