Donald Trump’s Granddaughter Kai Shares ‘Weird’ Detail About Dating Life

Donald Trump's grandaughter Kai has spoken about the difficulties she has dating while being so closely linked with one of the most powerful men in the world.

18-year-old is making waves in golf and will soon be joining the University of Miami as a part of the 2026 signing class to play the sport at collegiate level.

Kai's mother Vanessa - the ex wife of Donald Trump Jr - is dating golf legend Tiger Woods, one of the biggest and most famous sports stars in history.

And then on top of that, Kai is the grandaughter of the President of the United States and had her grandfather on her YouTube channel for a viral golf video, which racked up a whopping 3.8 million views on social media.

Kai recently appeared on the IMPAULSIVE podcast with Logan Paul to discuss her far from normal lifestyle and revealed that given her position and relation to Trump, she has a dedicated security team who go everywhere with her.

That means that even when she is going on dates, they are in extremely close proximity and Kai has had to try and pretend that they are not there.

"To be honest with you, it's really awkward when you're sitting and going on a date with a guy and they're two tables behind you," Kai admitted.

"It's a little weird. I try my best not to let it bother me. Especially the past year, since he's become President, I've had to learn that, yes, they're following me, but also to focus in pretending that they're not there.

"Obviously they are there. But if you can try to not really focus on that and enjoy your time with your friends, your family or whatever it is - it makes it easier.

"Because for the first few months, it was tough. It was not easy having someone following you all the time. But once I was like: 'Their only job is to protect me. I'm going to focus on my stuff and have them do their job'. It made it so much easier."

Concentrating on her golf, Kai said that she opts to "stay out of politics completely" and doesn't "want anything to do with politics".

Trump has played with Masters winner

She made her professional golf debut in November at The Annika Driven by Gainbridge at The Pelican Club outside Tampa, Florida.

Kai was one of three invited amateurs to play in the professional event and recently had private golfing sessions with Masters winner and Grand Slam champion Rory McIlroy.

She shared a video of McIlroy hitting a driver and then uploaded a picture of the two, with the caption, "Best way to start the year".

They had previously played together at the Genesis Open in March, with footage uploaded on Trump's channel.

On Instagram, Kai has 2.6 million followers - as well as 1.4 million subscribers on her YouTube channel.

Kai is 460th in the American Junior Gold association rankings.
