Sergio Perez Apologises To His Wife After He Is Filmed Partying With Other Women After Monaco GP Victory

"I have seen the videos that have been circulating about me and I take responsibility for it."

Sergio Perez has apologised to his wife after he was filmed partying with other women after his victory at the Monaco Grand Prix. Watch below:

Perez won in Monte Carlo for the first time last month, taking the chequered flag ahead of Ferrari's Carlos Sainz and his Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen.

After the race, Perez signed a new two-year deal with Red Bull to keep him with the team until the end of the 2024 – capping a memorable week for the Mexican driver.

However, Perez may have found himself in hot water with his wife, Carola Martinez, after he was filmed partying with other women after the win in Monaco.

Video circulating on social media shows Perez dancing with one woman and getting close to another during the celebrations.

He has since taken to Instagram to apologise for his behaviour.

"I have seen the videos that have been circulating about me and I take responsibility for it," Perez wrote on Instagram.

"It was a bad party that I didn't know how to control at the height of the person that I am, but it was just that, a very bad party.

"People close to me know my values and the type of person that I am. For those who ask me, we are more united than ever, me and my wife.

"And for those who just want to hurt us, I wish you the best.

"Thank you all for your love and I apologise to all the people who love me because those videos don't represent me not at all.

"We will not talk about this topic anymore, which only makes us forget the great moment we are living as a family. Thank you."

Perez is currently third in the Formula One drivers' standings, behind defending champion Verstappen and Sainz.
