Netflix have released the first trailer for the fifth season of the popular Formula One documentary series, Drive to Survive.
The series provides F1 fans behind-the-scenes access to the paddock and includes exclusive interviews with drivers, team principles and motorsport journalists.
Since it first launched in 2019, it has become one of Netflix’s most popular programmes. And now, they have confirmed that the fifth season will drop on 24 February. You can watch the first trailer below.
The video starts by telling viewers that the 2022 season included some of the biggest changes to rules and regulations the sport has ever seen.

Last season was the first campaign of the post-hybrid era with new wider and longer cars designed for much closer wheel-to-wheel action on the track.
Max Verstappen then appears and was asked: “How do you feel about sitting in the chair?”
“Alright.” said the Dutch Red Bull driver.
Other drivers including the likes of Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, Sergio Perez and former Haas driver Mick Schumacher were also seen in the 42-second-long teaser.

Verstappen, who clinched the 2022 title with relative ease was confirmed to be involved in season 5 of Drive to Survive after he refused to be in the previous series.
He has previously branded the show "fake", Verstappen said: “They faked a few rivalries which don’t really exist. So I decided to not be a part of it and did not give any more interviews after that because then there is nothing you can show.
“I am not really a dramatic show kind of person, I just want facts and real things to happen. The problem is they will always position you in a way they want, so whatever you say, they will try to make you look reckless or trying to make you... whatever fits the story of the series.”

The reigning champion recently said to GQ: “It’s just good to understand what we both want from each other, right?
“I think the interview we did was good, so... I just wanted to keep it real. You know, no fake stuff. No overhyped things, because that’s not how I am. I just want it to be to the point and my opinion and how I see things. Of course, we still need to see the end product, but it all sounds good.”
Drive to Survive season 5 will be available to stream on 24 February 2023.
