
Ferrari have confirmed team principal Fred Vasseur will miss qualifying at the Monaco Grand Prix after being taken into hospital.
Vasseur, principal since January 2023, was present for practice sessions on Friday, where his drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc finished in first and second on both occasions.
He spoke to the media afterwards but it has now been confirmed that Vasseur will miss qualifying on Saturday.
There is no word regarding his status for the Grand Prix on Sunday.

A statement from Ferrari said: "Fred Vasseur will not be present at the circuit today. Following some medical checks, Fred will remain under observation at a local medical facility.
"No further medical information will be provided. We wish Fred a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back at the track soon."
Ferrari are current second in the constructors' rankings with 147 points after achieving four podium finishes in the 2026 season.
Leclerc is third in the drivers' rankings behind Mercedes duo Kimi Antonelli and George Russell, with Hamilton a place behind in fourth.
