A big name on the Formula One grid is reportedly eager to jump ship and join a rival team just months into the 2026 season.
With the 2026 summer break rapidly approaching, the Formula One rumour mill is already starting to make some bold claims about the futures of drivers across the gird.
Of course the biggest story in the sport right now continues to be the uncertain future of four-time champion Max Verstappen, who has once again been linked with a move to Mercedes in recent weeks.
The 28-year-old has an exit clause included in his Red Bull contract that would allow him to leave at the end of the season should be finish lower than second in the standings, which appears to be likely.

However, it's not just Verstappen that has been linked with a move away from his team in recent weeks, as one driver is said to have had enough of his team and is already eyeing up a move elsewhere.
As reported by Blick, Williams driver Carlos Sainz is growing increasingly frustrated with his current situation and is said to have 'had enough' of the British team.
The report claims that, following pressure from his father, a multiple rally driving championship winner, Sainz is looking at leaving the team to join Audi.
As it stands, Sainz has scored just six points after seven races this year having finished ninth in Shanghai, Miami and Montreal.
Meanwhile teammate Alex Albon has scored one point fewer with a 10th-place finish in Miami and an eighth-place finish in Monaco.
The results have left Sainz and Albon 14th and 15th respectively in the 2026 Drivers' Standings.

It also leaves Williams eighth in the Constructors' Championship standings, despite heading into this year with high expectations given the fact they had started developing their 2026 car long before many of their rivals.
But with the Oxfordshire-based team seemingly unlikely to improve much in the foreseeable future, it could make sense for Sainz to make the move to Audi that many expected him to do last summer.
Audi are currently one place behind Williams in the Constructors' Championship standings, having scored just two points, but are widely expected to improve following their debut season on the grid.
Therefore brining in an experienced driver like Sainz could be a statement signing for the German team, replacing either Nico Hülkenberg or Gabriel Bortoleto.
Fernando Alonso 'negotiating' with rival team amid Aston Martin struggles
And it appears that Sainz isn't the only driver growing increasingly frustrated with their team's lacklustre performances, as the report adds that fellow Spaniard Alonso is also considering moving teams.
It's no secret that Aston Martin have had a disastrous 2026 season so far, currently sitting 10th in the standings, only above Cadillac who are competing in their first-ever season.
With Alonso approaching the final years of his career, it has speculated that he could then decide to leave the team in order to chase an elusive 33 Formula One race win.
According to Blick, this has led to him holding negotiating with Alpine and his manager Flavio Briatore, who is the executive adviser and de facto team principal of the French team.
