Emiliano Martinez brutally trolled France superstar Kylian Mbappe during Argentina’s victory parade in Buenos Aires.
Argentina were crowned kings of football after a spectacular victory over France in Sunday’s World Cup final in Qatar.
Lionel Messi and Angel di Maria had them two goals ahead before a crazy last 10 minutes saw Kylian Mbappe single-handedly drag his side back into the contest.
Eventually, Argentina came out on top after winning the penalty shootout 4-2.
During the shootout, Martinez made a crucial save to deny Kingsley Coman. During the trophy presentation, the Aston Villa goalkeeper was handed the Golden Glove after being named the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
As the victorious Argentina squad landed back in Buenos Aires, millions of fans lined the streets of the city to get a glimpse of their heroes during the victory parade.
During the celebration, Martinez was captured trolling Mbappe as he partied on the open-top bus whilst carrying a baby toy that had the Paris Saint Germain superstar’s face on it.
Fans were quick to react to Martinez’s antics on social media.
One fan said: “The audacity to that after he scored 4 goals against him lol.”
Another tweeted: “He’s been annoying since his Arsenal days. Runs his mouth too much for an average keeper.”
A third fan added: “What has Mbappe even done to get this treatment lol.”
Someone else wrote: “Mbappe lives rent free in his head.”
That was not the first time Martinez has been involved in a controversial celebration, after collecting his Golden Glove trophy, he placed it on his crotch area and gestured towards the crowd as he walked off the stage.
On that celebration, the 30-year-old said: "I did it because the French booed me. Pride doesn't work with me."
Martinez has had a fantastic tournament and made some vital saves during Argentina’s road to victory.
After the final on Sunday, he said: “There could not have been a World Cup that I have dreamed of like this. I was calm during the penalties.”
