A West Ham United fan hilariously hijacked an empty tannoy to deliver an incredible announcement.

West Ham, who finished in 14th place in the Premier League table, meet Fiorentina in the Europa Conference League final in Prague on Wednesday.

They'll be aiming to win their first trophy since claiming the FA Cup 43 years ago.

Despite the club's measly allocation of 6,000, around 20,000 fans are expected to make the trip.

Thousands of supporters have descended to UK airports to make the journey to Czech Republic.

And one fan brilliantly took advantage of an empty tannoy at Stansted airport to give a message.

"This is a staff announcement, West Ham are massive," he said.

Naturally, West Ham fans are giddy with excitement ahead of their first major European final since 1976.

David Moyes also has the chance to follow in the footsteps of fellow Scottish managers Bill Shankly and Sir Alex Ferguson in raising a European trophy. He's excited about Wednesday's opportunity.

"It would be hugely important for myself. My home is in Scotland, that’s where I was brought up," he said. "The names that you mentioned are names that were around Europe in a different era when Scotland had a host of top managers competing in the best leagues and for European competitions.

"Sir Alex was the last to win as a Scottish manager, not only that but as a British manager as well. So it would be a big thrill for me if I could get my name alongside theirs.

"Obviously, many of them are greats in football. Not just at their own clubs but throughout the world, their names are known wherever people go."
