Werder Bremen score three times in six minutes to beat Borussia Dortmund 3-2 in incredible Bundesliga comeback

Werder Bremen were 2-0 down but scored three times in six minutes to beat Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park.

Werder Bremen produced an early contender for comeback of the season after scoring THREE times in six minutes to sink Borussia Dortmund.

Edin Terzic's side were 2-0 up and flying at Signal Iduna Park thanks to goals from Julian Brandt and Raphael Guerrero, the latter looking like he might just have confirmed the victory when he struck in the 77th minute.

But Bremen completely turned the game around in a remarkable sequence. Ex Derby County youngster Lee Buchanan pulled one back with a stunning individual effort in the 89th minute, before Niklas Schmidt headed home the leveller three minutes later.

And then the comeback was complete as in the 95th minute, Bremen countered and former Nottingham Forest, RB Leipzig and West Brom forward Oliver Burke was played in behind.

Beating defenders to the ball, he produced an emphatic finish at the near post for a quite sublime finale in the Bundesliga clash.

You can always rely on the Bundesliga for goals and pure entertainment. The tweets from the official Dortmund Twitter account perfectly capture the unbelievable scenes which unfolded.

It was a first defeat of the season for the Black and Yellows, with the shocking result meaning Bremen are just one behind sixth-placed Dortmund on five points.

Dortmund will be desperate to respond to the disappointment next Saturday when they travel to Hertha Berlin.
