La Liga Club Include Odd Addition To This Season's Kit

No!

We've detailed quite a lot of new kits this season and admittedly quite often we really like them, so we like sporting fashion. However newly promoted La Liga side Leganes have included something on their kits that we just can't get on board with.

Leganes are playing in the top Spanish division for the first time in their 88 year history and the tiny club from Madrid are obviously desperate to make a name for themselves but chaps there has to be better ways of doing it than making the club badge on your shirts scratch and sniff!

Yes, you read that correctly. The club badge can be scratched to unveil a smell. Don't worry it's not the smell of sweating players but perhaps even odder than that it releases to smell of cut grass, that's the same smell you get at most football grounds surely?

The club's Marketing and Communication director, Daniel Abanda, explained why the club have decided to have the extra addition to their new kit saying, "Joma proposed the idea of having a badge on the new shirts which tasted and smelled of something, as we were playing next season in the Primera Division for the first time."

To be honest I've no idea what being in the top division and having a kit that smells of something has to do with each other but you know, each to their own.

Abanda also said it bought in to the club's "sense of fun," which is fair enough but we're still not on board!

Rumour has it Joachim Low will be their next manager...
