Insane Footage Of Lionel Messi's Free-Kicks During Shooting Drill Emerges, His Accuracy Is Frightening To Watch

One fan said on Twitter: "This man's accuracy is insane!" PSG superstar Lionel Messi was in his element during his free-kick shooting drill.

Lionel Messi showcased his mesmerising world-class free-kick ability during a shooting drill in Argentina’s training camp on Thursday.

The six-time Ballon d'Or winner has linked up with his Argentina teammates ahead of his country’s World Cup qualifiers.

But Messi has thrived from dead-ball situations and produced multiple exquisite finishes from free-kicks during his legendary Barcelona spell.

The former Barcelona skipper was in his element when he stepped up for a shooting drill in training.

Messi, who stunned the world in the summer with his shock exit from Barcelona, effortlessly fired in back-to-back free-kicks.

The Argentina captain was unfortunate not to find the back of the net with his third attempt, with Messi’s powerful strike smashing off the crossbar.

Messi ended his long silverware drought with Argentina in the summer after lifting the Copa America title in Brazil.

Argentina will face Venezuela on Friday in their World Cup qualifying match before a showdown with 2021 Copa America finalists Brazil on 5th September.

Lionel Scaloni’s men will then clash with Bolivia on 10th September at the El Monumental in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Argentina are currently second in the South America qualifying table for the 2022 World Cup.

La Albiceleste are on 12 points after six matches and are six points adrift from leaders Brazil, who have won all six of their World Cup qualifiers so far.
