England's opening match of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be shown live on the BBC.

The Three Lions are in action on the opening day of the tournament, November 21, and will take on Iran at the Khalifa International Stadium in Al Rayyan.

Every match of the World Cup will be shown live on free-to-air channels in the UK, with the BBC and ITV sharing broadcast rights for the tournament.

ITV will show England’s second group game against the United States on November 25, while the BBC will broadcast their final group match against either Scotland, Wales or Ukraine on November 29.

The BBC will also show Spain vs Germany, Brazil vs Serbia and Argentina vs Poland in the group stage.
