Trent Alexander Arnold has just scored a beauty for England against Malta.

On Friday night, Gareth Southgate’s men are in action as they take on Malta in the qualifying round for Euro 2024.

Ahead of the match, the main talking point was whether Southgate will start Alexander Arnold and in which position.

As expected, the England boss decided to deploy the Liverpool man in midfield, a role that he has been playing towards the back end of the 22/23 season for his club.

After a positive start, England went ahead on the back of a beautiful pass from Alexander Arnold, who managed to find Bukayo Saka wide on the right-hand side.

The Arsenal man played the ball into the penalty area and was bundled in by Malta defender Ferdinando Apap.

After receiving the ball on the edge of the area, he unleashed an unstoppable drive into the back of the net.
