This would be a cracking signing.

We don't know yet whether or not Antoine Griezmann will actually become a Manchester United player in the next transfer window but former United player Griezmann doesn't think he's the right man.

Manchester United and Antoine Griezmann is potentially the most annoying transfer of the summer and it's so far from summer it was snowing this week.

The link between the two parties just won't die and we've got a long run up to what could be as long a running transfer saga as Griezmann's mate Pogba moving to Old Trafford last summer.

The move does seem almost inevitable as long as Jose Mourinho's team manage to qualify for the Champions League, be it through league place or a Europa League victory.

However former Manchester United midfielder, turned BT Sport pundit, Owen Hargreaves thinks that Mourinho should be focusing his attention on another forward.

Speaking to BT Sport he said, "You have to look at what you have and what you desperately need, I think they need a Dybala-type player.

"Everybody speaks about Griezmann, I think Griezmann would be terrific. But I think Dybala, he's a little bit younger, he's going to be a superstar if he isn't already."

"He would be magnificent. That star power that Ibra (Zlatan Ibrahimovic) bought, I think Dybala could bring that as well."

Dybala was far from an unknown but his recent performances in the two Champions League fixtures against Barcelona really pushed him into the highest echelons of players.

The move for Griezmann seems simple with the French forward likely to move if they qualify for Europe's elite club competition and match his release clause.

Juve forward Dybala would be a completely different prospect to sign. The Old Lady are unlikely to want him to leave and the Argentine signed a new five year deal earlier this month.

That makes signing Dybala a complete pipe dream!
